Postnatal Yoga
The transition to motherhood is an intense and profoundly life-changing event that shakes you to the core.
Postnatal yoga is a great way to nurture and reconnect with yourself physically, mentally and spiritually through breath expansion techniques (pranayama), meditation practices and gentle exercises (asanas) specially designed to accompany the healing process, to balance emotions and enjoy the first year of your baby’s life. Each class is also an opportunity to connect with other mothers and find support.
Why practice Yoga after birth?
The post-partum period is challenging for most women. A regular postnatal Yoga practice will help you to heal and close the body after birth, regain strength, re-align the spine, tone pelvic floor, abdominal and lower back muscles, relieve tension, cultivate serenity and inner balance, and replenish the necessary energy to attend your and your baby’s needs.

When can I start practicing Yoga after birth?
You can start after 6-8 weeks if had a vaginal delivery, or 8-10 weeks if you had a C-section birth. As a precaution, I suggest you get your ob-byn’s approval before joining the classes.
